What's Included
PRESHCO fees are comprehensive and cover almost all in-country expenses except for personal spending money and non-program travel. Your visa and passport fees are also not included. Below you will find what is included in the program fee:
PRESHCO program courses and direct enrollment in University of Córdoba courses
Intensive language program upon arrival
A homestay with a Spanish family in a private home with all meals included
Extensive excursions and cultural activities to enhance and enrich your program of study. All ground transportation, hotel, all meals, and entrances and tour guides to group-related historic sites are included in the program fee. This includes, but is not limited to:
10-day orientation tour of several Spanish cities
Day or overnight excursions to places like Granada, Sevilla, Zuhueros, Consuegra, Damiel y Almagro, or Medina Azahara (excursions will change each semester)
Optional 5-day seminar excursion to northern Morocco or Portugal (fall semester only)
End of semester celebration (Lluvia de Estrellas)
Program participation in local festivals
Regular University of Córdoba student status, including use of libraries, computer services, sports facilities, and other student services
Round-trip airfare stipend to and from Madrid for up to $900, reimbursed after arrival or a group flight from New York's JFK Airport
Cultural fund in Euros for individually selected activities, personal travel in Spain, and personal incidentals, such as mobile phone charges
Optional co-curricular classes in traditional Andalusian dance (“Sevillanas”), cooking, guitar, theater, and studio art (drawing, ceramics, sculpture, bookbinding, computer- assisted graphic design, and photography)
Optional volunteer program in local non-governmental organizations
Conversation partners program with students from the University of Córdoba
Spanish tutors
Complimentary program course textbooks and selected class materials
Ground transportation to and from other University of Cordoba campuses to take courses
Medical and Emergency Medical Evacuation Insurance through CISI
